Development Manager

Due to an exciting phase of growth, Queensland Airports Limited are seeking a Development Manager to join the team located at Gold Coast Airport. Reporting to the General Manager Infrastructure, this role will assume responsibility for the planning and management of various Major CAPEX projects.

Key role objectives include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical assistance for input into project business cases and guiding projects through the planning phase
  • Negotiate with authorities in relation to conditions of development and compliance
  • Assist in identifying and planning new major CAPEX projects for airport precinct growth
  • Developing design briefs for procurement of consultants and contractors
  • Reviewing designs at various stages to ensure the design brief is being met
  • Assist with drafting Board Papers and reports
  • Guide projects through relevant approval and certification processes
  • Project Management functions including resourcing and ensuring projects meet all gateway, governance and reporting requirements of the PMO

What you will bring to QAL:

  • A Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Experience in property/subdivision development and local council land development processes
  • Ability to travel and stay at regional airport locations for periods of time as required
  • Effective Project Management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines

The successful candidate will be required to adhere to QAL’s Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) and have the ability to obtain an Airport Security Identification Card (ASIC) to work at the airport.
