Under the Airports Act 1996, both Gold Coast and Townsville airports are required to produce a Master Plan every five years, encompassing a 20-year period.
The current Gold Coast Airport Master Plan was approved by the Federal Government in 2017, and is inclusive of an airport environment strategy. The document can be found here.
The Townsville Airport Draft Master Plan 2023 is currently open for public consultation, and can be found here.
